A woman alone
Yet surrounded by people
A woman yearns to live
But wants to give in

Her soul cries for peace
Her mind pleads for silence
Her body begs for relief

She needs to fight
But only knows how to survive

Her broken heart empty
A loss of control
Yet too much control

A woman alone
Her silent struggle
Too afraid to allow anyone in
No one strong enough
To tear down the walls

Locked in an endless battle
With her body and mind

A woman alone
Will search for the light
And escape the darkness
