Doesn't She Know?
She is a changed person
or at least she thought she
was.
We all thought she was.
What has happened to her?
Has she fallen so
far,
that she cannot get back?
Is she just so confused,
so disoriented,
that she doesn't know
where she can turn to for help?
Doesn't she
know?
Is her image so distorted, that she can't see
the
Truth?
She is not the same as she was:
this is true.
Some
ulterior
motive has brought her to this place.
Doesn't she realize that?
Doesn't she
know?
Is this just a game she likes to play?
To see how much less can
be eaten today.
She certainly had come a very long way,
from the previous
ailment that turned her away.
But look now at what has happened
to
her.
She thought she was better. She thought she was fine,
but when she
finally did pry open her eyes,
she saw the truth which nearly blinded
her.
Doesn't she know that what she has done,
has made her so frail, so
delicate, so small?
Doesn't she know that what she has done could
easily
have killed her
had she not opened her eyes?
Doesn't she know?
Now
that she has become a "changed" person,
don't you think that the voices would
stop?
She says that they have, and that she is alright,
but
when she
looks at herself in the mirror,
when she gazes at a full plate of
food,
why do they still come back?
She thought that she would ruin it
all
if she had just taken one bite.
That is why she continued to pressure
herself
into eating but once a day.
Of course there were days when the
weather was nice
nice enough even to eat,
but when she did, the guilt took
over
and she had to rollerblade seventeen miles.
But doesn't she know that
the way that she was,
was not the best way to do what she did?
Doesn't she
know?
I know it is not easy to understand
the thoughts that take
control of her head.
But listen now,
try to understand
that what she has
become
is not that of her own doing.
Doesn't she know there is a way
out?
There is one up there that surely can help.
Doesn't she know there is
someone that cares?
There is someone up there that truly does
care.
Doesn't she know that when she is lost, there is always
one she can
turn to?
There is someone up there she can turn to.
There is a special one
up there.
He does love, and He does care,
He will always be there.
All
she has to do is take a step
toward the right direction,
Ask Him
in,
and to take over her life,
just as this disease has done
before.
It's as easy as that.
Doesn't she know that everything can be
normal?
Doesn't she know that the disease
that had once consumed her
life,
could be gone in just one easy step?
The step to eternal
life?
Doesn't she know?
