Delicate Glass

Delicate glass
the cracks are taped
one harsh word
is all it takes

Damaged soul
the tape won't hold
regain control
fit the mold

Add more tape
as pieces fall
some are lost
can't save them all

No pretty face
just tape and scars
cover them up
hidden so far

Can't hide from the truth
mirror's cracked
she sees the gaps
all she lacks

She'll never be whole
she can't get it back
and every day
another crack
