Peace

Calmness sets in
For ONE moment I feel at peace
I will hold on to that moment
Because what comes next is unpredictable
A crash of harsh words echo through my head
words that condemn, words that accuse, words that cause doubt
words that would cause a feeling soul to well with tears
But my empty soul trying to rebuild just holds on to that ONE moment of peace
