Seems like every female wants to look like a Barbie doll,
Because
of society's pressures we want to be thin and tall.
Females have to be a
perfect daughter, wife and mom,
Because of maternal instincts we have to stay
calm.
We want to perform well at work, home and school,
We start to think
that being thin would make us cool.
Trying to fit-into a group that is
popular,
To get this we don't realize we go too far.
Of everything
important in our lives we lose sight,
At the end of the tunnel we don't see
the light.
We decide to give up, deep inside,
And feel no one is on
our side.
We let our "ED take over our mind",
Soon to everything
else we become blind.
To us soon our friends no longer matter,
We only
think about how we'd not get fatter.
We want to be all alone,
We want
someone to call our own.
It's all about acceptance,
For someone to give us
a chance.
To be loved unconditionally,
From now on until
eternity.
But is that what we really seek?,
No it's the strength within,
Ourselves when we feel weak.
It's the true meaning happiness in our
life,
To feel peace we felt when we were five.
To find this love for our
selves we look in our heart,
This might not seem like a lot but it's only the
start.
